The Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living (IAC) was founded in 1977 and has grown into a residential shelter for domestic violence and sexual assault victims and their children. The Resource Center for Parents & Children (RCPC) was started in 1973. Its mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect by strengthening the family structure, helping parents with parenting skills, and providing a safe place for parents to share and deal with parenting issues.
